WHAT IS SO-CALLED, “CONVERSION THERAPY”?
Conversion therapy” includes medical, psychiatric, psychological, religious, cultural or any other interventions that seek to erase, repress or change the sexual orientation and/or gender identity of a person. “Conversion therapy” practices can affect both children and adults. Figures from the National LGBT Survey found that 13 percent of trans respondents has been offered or undergone conversion therapy.
