It’s still legal in the UK for LGBTQ+ people to be subjected to so-called ‘conversion therapy’ practices. We, along with many other LGBTQ+ organisations, are working to ban this abhorrent practice fully, without exception.
Here you can learn more about ‘conversion therapy’ practices, help us move to a full ban and also find out where you can seek support if you are a survivor.

WHAT IS SO-CALLED, “CONVERSION THERAPY”?
Conversion therapy” includes medical, psychiatric, psychological, religious, cultural or any other interventions that seek to erase, repress or change the sexual orientation and/or gender identity of a person. “Conversion therapy” practices can affect both children and adults. Figures from the National LGBT Survey found that 13 percent of trans respondents has been offered or undergone conversion therapy.
